Preparing a Business Manager (BM) before advertising

Business Manager is a key resource for Facebook advertising. Its preparation affects how smoothly the initial launch goes. Here is a step-by-step overview.

What preparation means and why it matters

Preparation, sometimes called a rest period, gives the account time without abrupt activity. A new BM with a large immediate budget is more likely to face restrictions; an account with an established history appears more natural to the platform.

Step-by-step preparation

1. Rest period. Let the account rest instead of advertising immediately after delivery. Some customers choose BMs that have already rested for up to seven days.
2. Profile setup. Add profile details, a linked Page and payment information gradually rather than all at once.
3. Gradual launch. Start the first campaign with a small budget and a simple offer; increase spending gradually.
4. Consistent activity. Sudden budget changes and many campaigns at once may trigger the platform’s anti-fraud systems.

Choosing a BM for preparation

Choose established BMs with an established history (2023–2025). For initial tests consider a BM0 with a $50 limit; for scaling, BM50 or BM350. Browse Business Managers →
